Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Modeling and Simulation Specialist with direct experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration & Modeling (AFSIM). This role supports high-impact national defense projects by building and executing complex simulation scenarios to assess next-gen military capabilities. This position requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and is located onsite in Reston, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and refine models and simulations using AFSIM to analyze engagement and mission-level scenarios.
- Develop dynamic scripts to simulate interactions and behaviors of military systems.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, such as pilots and technologists, to gather modeling requirements.
- Analyze outputs from simulation scenarios and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with software development teams to enhance modeling tools and improve simulation accuracy.
- Design and execute study plans for military technology assessment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
- BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- At least 5 years of analysis experience, with a minimum of 2 years directly using AFSIM in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C ).
- Ability to apply the scientific method to diverse MS&A efforts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with STK, JMP, Python, R, or C .
- Familiarity with both U.S. and foreign military systems and operational concepts.
