Overview
Fast Track Express is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance, workplace safety, cargo security, and operational standards across our warehousing, freight forwarding, and transportation operations.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in logistics or warehouse compliance, including OSHA regulations, warehouse inspections, cargo handling, and regulatory audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, CBP, TSA, DOT, and FMCSA requirements.
- Conduct warehouse safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Monitor forklift operations, loading docks, freight handling, and equipment safety.
- Oversee applicable bonded warehouse procedures, cargo security, and customs compliance.
- Investigate accidents, safety violations, and operational incidents.
- Develop and maintain safety policies, SOPs, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct employee safety training and coordinate required operator certifications.
- Maintain OSHA records, incident reports, and corrective-action documentation.
- Coordinate regulatory inspections and communicate directly with management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics compliance.
- Strong understanding of OSHA warehouse safety regulations.
- Knowledge of forklift operations, cargo handling, and warehouse inspections.
- Experience conducting compliance audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Familiarity with applicable CBP, TSA, DOT, and FMCSA requirements.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and organizational skills.
Certifications & Training
Required:
- OSHA safety training, such as OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, or equivalent demonstrable training and experience.
- Documented warehouse safety, hazard identification, and incident investigation training.
Preferred:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM)
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) or comparable logistics credential
- Forklift / Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training and Evaluation
- HAZWOPER certification (if applicable)
- Hazard Communication / GHS training
- First Aid, CPR & AED certification
- Fire Safety / Emergency Response training
- DOT / FMCSA Compliance Training
- DOT Hazmat / 49 CFR Training (if applicable)
- IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Training (if applicable)
- TSA Air Cargo Security Training (for applicable covered roles)
- CBP Bonded Warehouse / Customs Compliance Training
- C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Training or relevant experience
