Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales team member to join our fast-paced work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our valued customers while accurately and efficiently handling transactions. You will interact with a diverse range of customers, enhancing your communication and problem-solving skills, while ensuring customers’ overall satisfactory shopping experience. Responsibilities
· Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
· Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
· Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to assist customers effectively
· Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including restrooms and common areas
· Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability
· Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
· Supervise and train new staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment
· Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding store operations
Skills
· Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions accurately
· Strong phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone
· Ability to manage stock levels and assist with inventory management
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask
· Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively
· Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base
· Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
· Previous sales experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred
· A proactive attitude towards learning new products and services offered by the store
· Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus
