What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Repair Technician position at Fast Furniture Repair?
Fast Furniture Repair LLC (FFR) has been in business since 1994. Due to our customer’s requests to expand into other areas, our family-based furniture repair company has an immediate opening for a Furniture Repair Technician (1099 independent contractor) for in home furniture repairs.
Repair technician will travel to our client’s homes and will be part of the "Face" of FFR tech services.
Technician will be responsible for repairing damaged furniture (upholstery, wood, etc.) if possible, or assisting with replacing products if necessary. Must work well independently, be self-motivated and able to handle direction well.
Qualifications of the FFR Furniture Repair Technician:
- Candidate must be first & foremost, DEPENDABLE & honest
- Must be able to maintain a high job completion ratio
- Must have own tools
- Must have own transportation
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Good communication skills and basic computer skills required
- Able to work well with others
- Provide timely response and prompt immediate actions to repairs
- Constant updates of daily information via Tablet
- Ensure quality standards are met and/or exceed
- Ensure work completion is adhered to within time schedule
- Experience in all aspects of furniture repair including basic upholstery skills, leather and wood is a plus

- 2 weeks of paid training at our corporate headquarters here in sunny Florida, all travel and hotel expenses paid.
- Independence - FFR Techs are independent contractors and paid per job, not on the clock.
- Steady Income - FFR pays techs when the service is performed (every two weeks) – No waiting to get paid.
- Back up - FFR has 70 employees in our home office to support technicians.
- We provide some essential supplies such as (foam, poly-fil, screws, lumber, staples, etc.) and wood/leather repair products.
