About the Position
Golf Car Superstore is looking for a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Sales Associate / Golf Cart Technician to join our team. This is a unique position for someone who enjoys working with people just as much as they enjoy working with golf carts.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable assisting customers with purchasing decisions, explaining golf cart features and options, and following up with customers while also performing mechanical service, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and general maintenance on golf carts.
This position is ideal for someone with automotive, powersports, small engine, golf cart, or mechanical experience who also has strong customer service and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service
- Greet customers and provide a professional, friendly sales experience.
- Learn and understand our golf cart models, features, accessories, and financing options.
- Help customers select the golf cart that best fits their needs and budget.
- Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle features.
- Prepare sales quotes and assist with completing sales paperwork.
- Follow up with customers regarding quotes, leads, and pending sales.
- Answer customer questions regarding maintenance, accessories, warranties, and general operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom.
- Assist with inventory displays and keeping vehicles sales-ready.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service before and after the sale.
Golf Cart Technician / Service
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on golf carts.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
- Troubleshoot charging systems, batteries, wiring, controllers, motors, and other electrical components.
- Perform brake, suspension, steering, tire, and other mechanical repairs.
- Install accessories and aftermarket equipment.
- Perform battery replacements and battery system upgrades.
- Complete warranty and service work according to company procedures.
- Prepare new and used golf carts for sale and delivery.
- Inspect carts for quality and safety before they leave the dealership.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs to management.
- Keep the service area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Assist with loading and unloading golf carts when necessary.
Qualifications
- Golf cart, automotive, powersports, small engine, or mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic electrical and wiring knowledge preferred.
- Sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Comfortable communicating with customers and explaining technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and work around golf carts and equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to operate company vehicles and move golf carts as needed.

Physical Requirements

Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus sales commission opportunities.
Compensation will be based on the candidate's combination of sales ability, mechanical experience, and overall qualifications.
