What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roadside Diesel Technician (Company Truck Provided) position at Fast Fleet Road Service?
Fast Fleet is hiring experienced diesel technicians to handle roadside repairs in the Clarksville area.
This is a fully mobile, on-call position. You’ll be assigned a service truck stocked with core tools and parts, along with support from our operations team and mobile warehouses to keep you moving.
Compensation
- $1,000/week minimum guarantee ($33–$39/hour)
- Typical take-home: $1,500–$2,000 per week
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns on heavy-duty diesel trucks (Class 6–8)
- Perform roadside repairs and on-site fleet maintenance
- Complete PMs, DOT inspections, and general mechanical work
- Handle tire replacements and trailer repairs
- Communicate job updates and document work performed

Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
- 2 years of diesel mechanic experience (required)
- Experience with roadside or mobile repair (preferred)
- Experience working on-call (preferred)
- Trailer repair experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have your own basic mechanic tools (hand tools, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs in the field
- Must be available for on-call work (this is not a set schedule)
