What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate position at Fast Fix Jewelry & Watch Repairs?
Join our retail team as a Sales Associate. In this fast-paced role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, show jewelry and watches from our store inventory, in-take repairs by identifying what needs to be done and entering the information in to the POS, and checking out customers upon completion of their work ticket. Attention to detail is important and we expect every customer will leave satisfied. This position requires no previous jewelry experience, though jewelry and retail experience is preferred.
- Greet customers and assist them with repair drop-off and pick-up, as well as show and sell jewelry and watches in store inventory
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including accurate identification and descriptions of jobs, cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts, ensuring products are well-organized, clean, and appealing
- Upsell complementary products and services to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via in-person interactions, text, and phone etiquette, resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Prior experience in retail sales and/or jewelry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain repairs to customers
- Cash handling procedures and basic retail math are required
- Working together as a team is a requirement
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking inventory, merchandising displays, and standing/moving for extended periods
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
