Lead Fire Alarm Service Technician
FAST Fire is an independent Fire Alarm Design and Installation company. We are Mircom dealers, but can work on many other brands.
We are looking for someone that can perform the following:
- Supervise installation teams, assign tasks, and ensure safety compliance on job sites.
- Interface with building owners, inspectors, and general contractors.
- Install, program, troubleshoot, and test Fire Alarm systems and devices
- Schedule installation and service jobs accordingly.
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues, grounds, and faults.
- Communicate and work well with other employees to complete work assigned.
- Order parts through appropriate vendors, following company procedures.
- Install all systems to NFPA 72 and IFC standards.
Qualifications required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces above ceilings, etc.
- Achieve NICET Level I certification within 12 months.
- Clean driving record.
- Available to work after hours as needed.
- Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in the Fire Alarm/ Fire Detection and/or Security industry or equivalent; knowledge of low voltage electrical systems.
- Can read blueprints, and make smart field decisions on the fly.
- Self-Starter that needs little to no guidance.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to install boxes, wiring panels, digital dialers, devices, and other fire, sound or security peripheral equipment as directed and/or specified.
