Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions with accuracy and speed
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organized store appearance
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support team members with supervising tasks when needed and contribute to a positive store atmosphere
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse customer groups
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging customers and team collaboration
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math is advantageous
- Experience in customer service roles that involve upselling, product demos, or merchandising will help you excel in this position
