Position Overview
The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of inventory, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective use of equipment to maintain productivity and workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment safely and maintain current certifications.
Use RF scanners for accurate inventory tracking and order processing.
Locate, pull, and prepare inventory for replenishment.
Maintain compliance with all warehouse safety protocols and operational procedures.
Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Keep accurate records of materials handled to support inventory control.
Adapt to flexible work hours, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and overtime when needed.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Assist with loading and unloading shipments as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills a plus.
Strong attention to detail and task focus.
Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet productivity goals.
Team-oriented with adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods (8–12 hours).
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Perform repeated bending, twisting, reaching, and arm extensions.
Use both hands freely without restrictions.
Climb and descend stairs without restrictions.
Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
