The Technical Design department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions. Successful candidates will be proficient in Browzwear and Technical Design, with the ability to pattern-correct. Must be able to import patterns from Gerber Accumark into 3D Avatar. Must know how to correct patterns in Browzwear/ Gerber, import them for fitting in Browzwear, and instruct beginning students. This course only runs during the fall semesters.
Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades on time. Course descriptions are available in the online catalog.

Minimum Qualifications:
This is a part-time position, adjunct teaching position beginning in Spring 2026. Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. The department will keep this posting open to create a pool of candidates for potential future adjunct assignments. The department will contact applicants whose qualifications fit our programmatic needs.
Compensation
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.
$89.98 per hour based on minimum qualifications. The final rate, step and appointment rank are determined by a candidate's ability to demonstrate that they meet the respective school's additional criteria for hiring "above the first step," in accordance with the CBA Adjunct Salary Schedules (pp 88-89).

The working conditions for this position will be any combination of the classroom, lab, and/or office space. Certain roles may be required to handle machinery and chemicals. The physical requirement for this position will require occasional sitting, constant standing, occasional bending, frequent walking, and occasionally lifting 10 lbs. or less.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in the field or a closely related field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in the field.
- MBA or Master's degree in the field or a closely related field.
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Current Browzwear software knowledge, as well as the ability to pattern-correct.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
