The Global Fashion Management (GFM) Master of Professional Studies program seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Organizational Leadership. This course provides graduate students with a survey of leadership theory and a practical framework for developing effective leadership behaviors within complex, global organizations. The course emphasizes "positive leadership" models and experiential learning through self-assessment, peer feedback, and applied case analysis.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive professional experience leading teams, managing organizational change, and fostering leadership development in fashion, luxury, or related creative industries. The adjunct faculty member is expected to bridge theory and practice drawing on real-world leadership experiences, current industry challenges, and practical insights to create a dynamic and relevant learning environment. Students will explore motivation, negotiation, ethics, purpose, and the relationship between crisis and opportunity in leadership contexts.
This course is taught one evening per week to accommodate working professionals.
Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades in a timely manner. Course descriptions are available in the online catalog and website.

Minimum Qualifications:
This is a part-time, adjunct teaching position beginning in Spring 2026. Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. The department will keep this posting open to create a pool of candidates for potential future adjunct assignments. The department will contact applicants whose qualifications fit our programmatic needs.
Compensation
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.
$87.14 per hour based on minimum qualifications. The final rate, step and appointment rank are determined by a candidate's ability to demonstrate that they meet the respective school's additional criteria for hiring "above the first step," in accordance with the CBA Adjunct Salary Schedules (pp 88-89).

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years of senior-level professional experience in leadership, organizational development, executive coaching, or corporate management.
- Demonstrated ability to connect theory with real-world application in global or creative industry contexts.
- Prior university or training experience at the corporate level.
- Professional certification or advanced study in leadership, coaching, or organizational psychology, or relevant senior-level corporate experience.
- Experience mentoring or developing emerging leaders in multicultural or international business settings.
- Experience working in the fashion, consumer goods, or luxury industries.
- Deep understanding of leadership theory, team dynamics, and organizational behavior.
- Ability to translate academic frameworks into actionable insights for mid-career professionals.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and coaching skills.
