We are a global distribution company specializing in apparel, footwear, and outdoor brands. We partner directly with leading brands, retailers, and distributors to strategically manage excess inventory, maximizing value while protecting long-term brand equity. Headquartered in the Arts District of Los Angeles, California, we operate at the intersection of commerce, logistics, and brand strategy, serving partners across domestic and international markets.

We are searching for an independent, hard-working, detail oriented Controller with experience in e-commerce (DTC) and wholesale (B2B) . This role will oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial processes while also running the company’s day to day accounting functions. The ideal candidate is tech savvy, analytical, organized, proactive, and experienced in managing financial operations within a growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, vendor payments, and account reconciliations
  • Utilize the company ERP system to match payments, reconcile transactions, and maintain accurate financial records across business operations
  • Maintain and oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting through QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including financial statements, general ledger reviews, and trial balances
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, expense tracking, and overall financial performance to support operational decision-making
  • Coordinate with external CPA partners throughout the accounting cycle, including reporting, compliance, and year-end processes
  • Analyze financial data and provide reporting insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Develop, implement, and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and scalable financial processes
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning initiatives to align with company growth objectives
  • Assist with operational scaling efforts and cross-functional process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • CPA certification or additional accounting credentials are a plus
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, ERP systems, and modern accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Experience in apparel, wholesale, ecommerce, distribution, or other product-based industries is highly preferred

Compensation:
Salary Range: $90k-140k/yr
