Your Role

As a member of our Estimating team, you are especially important to the success of our branches and our company. Our Estimating staff ensures that our company can submit bids on time and that the branch maintains a steady flow of work. Your responsibility is to ensure an accurate estimate is created on all projects. This will include reading and understanding plans and specifications. You will be responsible for reading the entire specifications including the general conditions. Day To Day Responsibilities Will Include

• Generating accurate estimates of labor, material, and equipment, and take off costs for any assigned bids using The Edge estimating software.
• Submitting completed estimates to the Branch Manager for review.
• Reviewing project specification and blueprints.
• Requesting subcontract quotes and bid bonds as needed for assigned estimates/bids.
• Request all formal bid documents and make sure they are completed and delivered in the proper time frame from the corporate office
• Responding to inquiries from branches to help respond to Requests for Information as needed.
• Participating in pre-bid meetings with branch leadership before bid submission.
• Participating in job-hand-off meetings with the Operations Administration team.
• Attending training for The Edge estimating software.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with general contractors and building owners that offer bid opportunities.

Desired Skills And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience creating project estimates required.
• 5 years reading project specifications and blueprints required.
• Knowledge of roofing materials and roof application techniques preferred.
• Working knowledge of Edge estimating software required.
