Duties
- Conduct outside sales activities by reaching out to prospective clients through telemarketing, community events, and networking to generate new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through personalized communication and exceptional customer service.
- Present and explain various insurance products such as health, life, property, and casualty insurance, ensuring clients understand coverage options and benefits.
- Negotiate policy terms with clients to meet their needs while aligning with company guidelines and insurance regulations.
- Manage sales administration tasks using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems to track leads, follow-ups, and policy details efficiently.
- Analyze client needs through detailed assessments to recommend suitable insurance solutions that maximize benefits and compliance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes (including HIPAA compliance), and product updates to provide accurate information and maintain professional expertise.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales environments with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Familiarity with commercial insurance knowledge including property casualty policies and benefits administration is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and CRM systems for effective sales management.
- Excellent analysis skills to evaluate client needs accurately and develop tailored insurance solutions.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse client populations.
- Prior experience in health insurance, life insurance, or telemarketing roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in expanding their expertise in insurance regulation and compliance standards such as HIPAA.
