What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - Seasonal position at Faros Property Management LLC?
Overview:
Faros Properties is seeking Seasonal Maintenance Technicians for its Campground facilities in Woodbine, NJ and Ocean View, NJ. The Seasonal Maintenance Technician will be responsible to perform routine and preventative maintenance as well as upkeep of property grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empty trash, perform maintenance or repair duties, use power equipment, drills or other hand tools.
- Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Inspects irrigation system and all recreational amenities regularly to ensure they are working properly, repairs as necessary. Clean the amenity areas.
- Ensure all landscaping is clean, neat and presentable, including weeding, raking leaves, trimming hedges, etc.
- Ensure trash/debris is picked up from common areas on a daily basis. Empties common area trash containers as needed.
- Remove snow from parking lots, walkways and entrances.
- Complete checklists and reports on condition of resort sites prior to move-in and after guest moves out.
- Ensures all public access routes are free of hazards
- Maintains pool, tests chemical levels, and adjusts appropriately, where applicable
- Follows safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site & picking up supplies
- Other duties and projects assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years or older.
- Previous experience maintaining a campground a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
- General knowledge of basic maintenance, janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
- Ability to provide legible written reports and communicate verbally and in writing with the Team as well as Residents to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
- Available to respond to needs during non-business hours and while on call
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and Holidays
