The Role
We are seeking a talented Director of Research to lead Faropoint’s research platform and establish the firm as a recognized thought leader in urban logistics. This is a senior, on-site role based at our Hoboken headquarters.
The VP of Research will leverage Faropoint’s proprietary data along with large external datasets to generate actionable insights that inform portfolio composition, acquisitions, and asset management strategies. This individual will partner closely with our investment, asset management, and data science teams to deliver differentiated market intelligence, while also representing Faropoint externally with investors, partners, and at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute Faropoint’s research agenda and product marketing output in alignment with firm strategy
- Provide internal investment guidance, market insights, and decision making as well as external macro overviews, investor presentations, and research papers.
• Provide forward-looking analysis on macroeconomic, sector, and asset-level trends relevant to urban logistics.
• Leverage proprietary and external data sources to create differentiated insights into portfolio performance, acquisitions, and tenant demand.
• Apply advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to deepen research capabilities and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with the data science team to integrate advanced modeling and machine learning into research outputs.
• Deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations that strengthen Faropoint’s positioning with investors and partners.
• Represent Faropoint externally at conferences, industry events, and in published research.⸻
Qualifications
• 5–10 years of experience in real estate research, analytics, or investment strategy, ideally within industrial/logistics.
• Strong quantitative skills and proven ability to work with both proprietary and large external datasets.
- Experience with PowerBI and other data visualization tools.
• Hands-on ability to leverage AI tools for research, data gathering, and insight generation.
• Deep understanding of real estate fundamentals, capital markets, supply chain dynamics, and e-commerce trends.
• Senior-level experience leading research initiatives and partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced degree in economics, finance, real estate, data analytics, or a related field preferred.
