Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable professional to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
- Diagnose equipment problems using testing tools, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and extend service life.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and service activities.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure equipment is returned to service in safe working condition.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
- Operate shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with field service calls and on-site repairs when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in diesel mechanics, equipment repair, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, or industrial machinery.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drive components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools in a maintenance or repair setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet any site-specific access or safety requirements.
