Duties
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and other restaurant appliances using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on cold storage and hot food preparation equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Install new equipment, including assembly of components and electrical connections in commercial kitchen environments
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues efficiently to minimize downtime
- Use field service techniques to deliver prompt repairs at client locations, often involving box trucks or service vans
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to identify faults accurately
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in appliance repair, refrigeration, HVAC or related fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting skills preferred
- Delivery driver experience is advantageous for timely on-site repairs
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC components, and commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining excellent customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus
