Who are we?
Farmsteads of New England is a unique Farm designed to support individuals diagnosed with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, as well as individuals diagnosed with Acquired Brain Disorders. We provide support, care, and lifelong memories.
What will I do?
As the Training Manager, you will oversee the training of all new and existing staff for the organization. The staff you train to do their best will uplift the individuals we care for and their team members. You will work closely with our Compliance, Operations, and Nursing Directors to bring our mission to life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Certification and Compliance Manager in facilitating the certification process.
- Ensuring training is provided in compliance with state, federal, and program regulations and policies.
- Serve as the designated trainer for staff, covering general areas such as behavior plans, service agreements, risk management interventions, general implantation of safety and behavior plans, and other training as necessary.
- Complete new hire orientation.
- Train staff to be self-proficient in the following topics:
- Payroll System
- Email System
- Electronic Health Record System
- Scheduling System
- FNE Handbook
- FNE Mission, History, Vision, Values, and Philosophy.
- FNE Standard of Care and Workplace Policies
- New Hampshire DHHS, BDS system of care, Area Agencies, and Provider agencies.
- Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Acquired Brain Disorders.
- Management of Aggressive Behavior 1 & 2
- Deescalation techniques
- Building rapport while setting boundaries
- Other topics as assigned.
- Maintain a copy of all training provided.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Trainers to ensure each staff member is trained in compliance with NH 1201 rules and regulations.
- Provide ongoing proficiency checks with trained staff,
- Provide other trainings as required by rules and regulations or as requested by staff and management.
