Join Our Team as an Assisted Living Cook

As a Cook at Farmstead Living, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while providing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. You will work in a supportive and collaborative team environment where your creativity and expertise will be valued and appreciated. PT or FT hours available. Daily Mealtimes are at 8:30 am, 12:00pm, 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences of residents
• Ensure meals are served hot, fresh, and on time
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
• Collaborate with the dietary team to create menus and special event meals
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service and interact with residents in a friendly and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and nutrition guidelines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
