Job Overview
The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience while dining at The Clubhouse. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Servers are expected to have food and beverage knowledge.
General Responsibilities
· Prepares the tables, laying out the napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are all refilled and performing all other “side work” and preparation tasks.
· Staying updated on current menu choices, specials and menu deviations and knowing if the kitchen staff is running low on any orders.
· Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the kitchen staff.
· Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, pre bussing tables, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses, anticipating guest needs.
· Prepare mixed drinks for service to your guests table.
· Properly open, present and pour wine, table side.
· Presenting guest checks, obtaining proper payment method, handling and presenting cash and credit card payments.
· Handle phone calls and questions appropriately and professionally.
· Take delivery, curbside and take out orders over the phone, and follow through with the guest order.
· Run curbside orders to the front of the building in a timely professional manner.
· Become familiar with the geography of our property.
· Becoming familiar with reoccurring guests, using guest names throughout service.
· Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by management.
· Fill in for absent staff as needed.
· Assisting with special events and banquet functions as needed.
· Greet all guests and residents warmly with a formal and appropriate greeting.
· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards at all times.
· Understands and can communicate products and services available at the Clubhouse.
