Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, electrical systems, and vehicle components.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical wiring diagrams interpretation.
- Conduct engine repairs on both gasoline and diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Interpret schematics and automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Perform wheel alignments and vehicle maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and extend vehicle lifespan.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service experience.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive engine system repair.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, powertrain components, and auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to read automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy parts safely during repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Customer-focused attitude with effective communication skills to ensure clear explanations of repairs performed.
