Responsibilities
The Medical Laboratory Science department is currently seeking a part-time Instructional Support Technician to assist in the student laboratories. Responsibilities will include:
- Setting up laboratory equipment and materials prior to a laboratory session.
- Preparing reagents and cultures.
- Performing quality control.
- Cleaning glassware.
- Laundering lab coats.
- Assisting faculty and/or students during structured laboratory sessions and/or open laboratory sessions, and cleaning up after the laboratory session is over.
- Assisting with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation and with monitoring chemical inventory.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Medical Laboratory Science
- Knowledge of current Medical Laboratory Science practices
- MLS Certification
