Well qualified candidates will have experience in some or all of the following:
- Course specific knowledge to teach in accordance with course learning objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of prevailing building codes used in Long Island jurisdictions
- Knowledge of site construction materials and assemblies specified in building and site design
- Knowledge of site design and construction for grading, drainage, site structures and pavement, and landscape preparation
- Knowledge of construction drawings, construction notes and specification organization, layers and preparation
- Knowledge of field survey skills, surveying equipment, preparations of surveying drawings and reports, and use of field equipment.
- Commitment to diversity and university initiatives supportive of diversity and inclusion.
- Interest in participating in student-centered service activities.
- Desire to apply expertise in promoting civic engagement with the College's many community partners.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S in Landscape Arch. and MS in related field, or
- M. Landscape Arch., or
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, or
- B.S. in Surveying or related field
- Landscape Architectural Registration (RLA) license (ARC364), or Professional Engineering (PE) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (CON103).
- 3 years of professional work experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
