Job Summary
Join our dynamic team and advise farmers on how to improve crop yields, health and profitability. Bridge between scientific research and practical farming, soil testing, developing sustainable environmental consciousness farming practices.
Responsibilities
· Field scouting and diagnostics. Regularly visit fields to examine plants for disease, weed control, nutrient needs and pest control.
· Soil testing. Collect samples to analyze pH levels, nutrient content and create custom fertilizer plans.
· Crop planning. Help farmers choose the best seed varieties based on local climate, soil conditions and market demand.
· Analysis and research. Use and study technologies, agriculture software and traditional methods to track crop progress and conduct field trials to new farming products and technologies. Study soil, fertilizers and other factors which affect crop growth.
· Create chemical, biological and organic treatment plans to promote health crops and yields. Perform experiments to test new crop solutions.
· Take customer calls and schedule visits with farmers to solve crop problems. Travel to farms and other field sites.
· Involves year-round work, including on-call or urgent needs during busy season. Ability to work indoors, outdoors and in all and adverse weather conditions.
· Availability to work business hours, occasional weekends and extended hours in busy season to meet business demands.
· Positive daily interaction with customers, co-workers and providing exceptional customer service. Represent company in a positive manner and adhere to company’s core values.
· Maintain billing, signed invoices and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to office.
· Maintain clean and tidy vehicles and work area(s).
· Wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree in agronomy or certificate in, crop science, soil science, horticulture, genetics or related fields with demonstrated field experience
- Hands-on farming or growing experience that provides practical insights into crop production systems

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
