Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of facility including production schedules and goals, maintenance, quality, and safety; communicate and problem-solve with department leaders, when necessary
Identify areas of opportunity and create and update SOPs for all areas of the facility
Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety and health policies and procedures
Collaborate with Complex Manager to identify and manage goals, objectives, budgets, and timelines to meet KPIs
Assist in overseeing all material handling and processing equipment and make recommendations to increase efficiency
Assist in monitoring quality control processes including raw and final product inspection and investigating customer complaints
(LP) Directly supervise all production staff and provide guidance, support, and resources as needed / (NRWF) Provide guidance, support, and resources to production staff, as needed
Support employee development and growth through new hire stay interviews and quarterly conversations; complete exit interviews, when necessary
Delegate and adjust work activities based on PTO requests and/or unexpected call-ins
Relay important messages, directions, and policies from the FUI Corporate Office and upper management
(LP) Assist Human Resources and Complex Manager in assessing applications, interviewing, and selecting candidates for hire
(LP) Lead onsite employee orientation and ensure compliance and completion of necessary paperwork; ensure new hires are being trained properly
Participate in community outreach activities while upholding a positive company image
Maintain compliance with OSHA, USDA, MPCA, EPA, Department of Agriculture, and local and state agencies
Assist in ensuring the facility is always audit-ready by maintaining paperwork
Provide backup support for Complex Manager, Transportation Coordinator, and Foremen, during absences
Work closely with Human Resources on any employee-related situations
Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance
Travel up to 5%, annually

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field, preferred; or equivalent years of experience
Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; rendering industry experience, preferred
High level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to alter communication style based on audience; bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to create accountability, lead by example, and function as an effective team leader, managing resources according to changing needs
Strong team building and decision-making skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Willingness to take a hands-on approach and assist in all areas of the facility
Ability to work in a facility that processes multiple species including cows, pigs, and poultry
Ability to attain and/or maintain a standard driver’s license
Physical Requirements
Perform desk work (sitting or standing) for up to 90% of workday
Repetitively use wrist, hand, and/or fingers
Occasionally push, pull and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds
Occasionally bend at the waist and/or knees
Ability to work safely in wet/slippery conditions and hot/cold environments
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
