Title: Customer Service Representative
FSLA: Non-exempt
Reports to: Operations Manager
Summary
Provide friendly service to customers in establishing banking relationships in accordance with bank procedures and regulatory requirements. Build and maintain relationships with customers by creating good rapport and providing ongoing support regarding products and services.
Duties
- Greet customers and make them feel welcomed.
- Knowledge of all products and services offered.
- Provide a wide variety of customer service functions involving the payment and receipt of money, customer accounts and other general banking services.
- Assist customers with online banking and debit cards.
- Verify cash – counting back to the customers, verify cash for other teller drawers as needed, when money ordered and received from other branches.
- Log in and process transactions received by mail and the night drop.
- Assist customers in accessing their safety deposit boxes.
- Answer telephone and assist customers with their transactions, questions and concerns.
- Operate a coin wrapping machine, coin and currency counter.
- Operate a telephone, 10-key calculator, printer, copy machine, check encoder, personal computer and related banking software.
- Mentor to new employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned which may include but not limited to: open new accounts, cross-train for other positions, review maintenance, prepare statements for mailing, check orders.

Physical Requirements
- Sitting or standing: The ability to remain in a seated or standing position for extended periods.
- Walking: The ability to move around the office to access files and machinery.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling: The ability to position oneself to maintain files in file cabinets.
- Lifting and carrying: The ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Using hands and fingers: The ability to operate a computer, calculator, and other office equipment.
Qualifications
High school education or equivalent is required. Prior bank or related experience is preferred. Detailed oriented. Strong customer service skills and sales abilities required. Strong communication skills required. Cash handling experience is desirable. Strong mathematical, problem-solving and negotiation skills desirable. Will be expected to attend additional training programs offered internally and externally by the Bank. Ability to practice bank security and operational policies/procedures is necessary. A professional attitude and attire are required. May be required to work at any FSB branch.
Hours
Full-time, 38.5 - 40 hours/week Mon-Fri, 3 - 3.5 hours on Saturdays, must work a minimum of 2 Saturdays/month.
