Farmers Rice Milling Company is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Scale Room Operator to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of our milling operations. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a communication hub between farmers, truck drivers, and internal teams via CB radio, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Accurately input truck and load data into our computer systems.
- Grade incoming rice and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain organized and accurate daily documentation.
- Operate and perform minor maintenance on sample milling machines.
- Collect and process rice samples systematically.
- Occasionally perform manual probing of trucks.
- Keep the scale room and office area clean and well-organized.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs and maintain good physical health.
- Availability: Willingness to work 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong computer literacy and data entry accuracy
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work independently or collaboratively
