Managing Director of Retirement Services Group

SUMMARY: Provide consulting services to clients and lead the execution of marketing, sales and service plans.  The position will oversee all aspects of the Trust Retirement Plan Services Group, which includes National Associates, Inc., a subsidiary of Farmers Trust Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MANAGEMENT (Approx 50%):

• Oversee and manage National Associates, Inc. (NAI), a subsidiary of Farmers Trust Company, and assume the duties of President of NAI 
• Execute a strategic plan for Farmers Retirement Service Group in alignment with the goals of the trust company.
• Create and manage the annual budget for Trust RSG in conjunction with the Trust Companies’ overall budget. 
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations applicable to retirement plans across all RSG lines of business.
• Recruit, train and provide for the development of staff to ensure the long-term success of RSG.
• Evaluate and develop products and services to maintain the competitiveness and long-term growth of the business unit.
• Perform and comply with internal Compliance and Accounting audit requests.
• Maintain regulatory compliance of Farmers Retirement Plans.
• Serve on and chair various internal committees
• When necessary, renegotiate fees and other agreements with clients and vendors.
• Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures.  Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
• Complete all other duties as assigned

CONSULTING (Approx 25%):

• Support the sales and service process by building strong relationships with associates, key clients, prospects and referral sources.
• Meet and consult with clients on retirement plan design and development
• Research and recommend multiple investment options for use in plans 
• Respond to client questions and requests
• Conduct reviews of plan design studies and share information with clients
• Resolve pricing disputes or service agreement issues
• Consult with clients during plan design

MARKETING/SALES (Approx 25%):

• Work with trust management team to set sales goals for RSG.
• Integrate retirement products and services with other products and services offered by the organization, and identify and encourage cross selling of other banking and trust products and services
• Build and maintain strong centers of influence (COI’s) 
• Maintain an active presence in various community and professional organizations
• Participate/serve on local Boards where appropriate

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Accounting (or with equivalent work experience) with a strong background in retirement plans required
• Minimum of 10 years experience in the development and implementation of retirement plans and services (preferred 15 years) 
• Minimum of 7 years experience in management
