Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Reinsurance Accountant. The Reinsurance Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records related to reinsurance transactions, assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role also involves reconciliation of accounts, preparation of detailed reports, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate financial insights.
Qualifications
- Financial accounting and reporting expertise, with a focus on reinsurance or insurance accounting
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and preparation of financial statements
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and insurance-specific financial standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines
- Experience in reinsurance or the insurance industry is an advantage
