Job Summary
The Guaranteed Repair Program (GRP) Expeditor is the main point of contact related to vehicle repairs on GRP claims. Responds to GRP repair shop and customer-initiated inquiries related to GRP assigned claims. Assists Claim Owners and other GRP employees with obtaining loss and claims value documentation. Manages an inventory of GRP direct assigned claims by working files via a diary system to progress claims to completion, performing estimate review triage, ensuring regulatory compliance adherence, completing indemnity payments on assigned units, and acts as the Claim Owner on single vehicle claims.
Essential Job Functions
- Receives and triages GRP assigned claims.
- Responds to incoming telephone, web chat, and email inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Manages inventory of claims, exposures, and services.
- Reviews and confirms policy coverage specific to GRP eligibility, repairs, and rental vehicles and notifies GRP repair shops of coverage.
- Liaises between GRP repair shops and customers to communicate the status of repairs.
- Reviews claim files for possible closure and sets a follow-up diary as needed.
- Works from a diary system to ensure proper follow-up is made according to claim status.
- Extends diary until claim is closed.
- Issues indemnity payments to GRP repair shops as directed and approved.
- Authorizes and issues payments for rental vehicles.
- Manages the renewal of GRP repair shop certifications.
- Completes documents including required letters for regulatory compliance on assigned claims.
- Assists in mentorship of new GRP Expeditors, quality assurance slant audits, and special projects.
- Reviews and assigns total losses to Total Loss COE and triages other administrative activities per guidelines.
- May route to consultant for additional review.
- Reviews file documentation for UMPD approval.
- Confirms GRP repair shops are accurately notified of deductibles and GRP services are converted to correct coverage.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Insurance Adjusters License: Must obtain and maintain active adjuster's license in states where applicable.
- Other: Must pass California Fair Claims Practices exam within three weeks of hire date.
Experience Requirements
- 1-3 years of clerical or administrative experience preferred.
Physical Actions
This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.

- Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
