Role Description The Agency Owner role is a full-time hybrid position based in Reno, NV, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing a local insurance agency, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering long-term relationships with clients. The Agency Owner will oversee marketing efforts, conduct client consultations, and recommend insurance and financial products that align with customer needs. Additional tasks include managing agency operations, leading and developing team members, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. The role also involves participating in ongoing training, engaging in community networking, and leveraging Farmers’ tools and support to grow the business.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or entrepreneurship, with the ability to grow and manage a client portfolio.
- Strong skills in customer service, relationship building, and communication, with a focus on listening to and understanding client needs.
- Experience or interest in insurance, financial services, or related fields, and willingness to learn product lines and industry regulations.
- Ability to manage operations, including basic financial management, planning, and organization of daily agency activities.
- Leadership capabilities, including coaching team members, setting goals, and creating a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM systems, and online marketing channels to attract and retain clients.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Reno, NV in a hybrid capacity, including occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.
- Relevant licenses for property and casualty, life, and other applicable insurance lines (or willingness to obtain required licenses with company support).
