Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials, supplies, and equipment within the facility, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to troubleshoot issues related to electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance, or building interior maintenance.
- Maintain building interior spaces through painting, carpentry, and general upkeep to ensure a clean and functional environment.
- Assist with preventive maintenance tasks such as HVAC system repair, electrical work, plumbing repairs, and facilities equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Use schematics and ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues; interpret technical manuals for complex repairs.
- Support maintenance painting projects and perform basic carpentry tasks as needed to uphold facility standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures while providing excellent customer service to internal clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance including electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, mechanical knowledge, and building interior maintenance is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated safe operation skills; experience operating various types of forklifts preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with maintenance painting techniques and carpentry skills for building interior projects, a plus
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects safely, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
