GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Seeks out and writes profitable consumer, construction, and/or in-house mortgage loans for the bank. Manages loan portfolio of $10MM to $20MM in a manner that ensures asset quality and customer retention. Continually seeks to develop and grow portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Seeks out and obtains quality loans for the bank through business development activities. Services loan portfolio and assists customers in bringing current their past due accounts. Reviews loan applications and credit reports; makes loan decisions based on that information. Prepares loan memos and works with loan processors to obtain all necessary documentation to complete loan files. Coordinates loan closings with loan assistants. Maintains current knowledge of the bank's loan policy, as well as legal and regulatory requirements regarding consumer, construction, and in-house mortgage loans. Performs various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college.
EDUCATION GENERAL
3 years related experience and/or training.
EDUCATION MANAGEMENT
1 to 6 months related management experience.
