What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Secretary position at Farmers Bank Of Northern Missouri?
The Loan Secretary will perform a variety of clerical and technical duties to assist lenders and will handle both routine and complex customer inquiries while maintaining favorable customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares loan documentation, extensions, and renewals of loans and closings.
- Notes and verifies significant information as required by Bank policy and procedure.
- Ensures that Bank procedures are followed at all times.
- Exercises discretion, judgement, and initiative regarding transaction problems and procedures.
- Effectively identifies customers’ financial needs and cross sells the Banks’ products and services.
- Receives payments from customers.
- Provides prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
- Maintain BIS tickler systems as directed.
- Maintains credit files in a neat and orderly manner.
- Prepares and distributes necessary reports.
- Stays up to date on all federal and state regulations.
- Represents the Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some prior loan administration or customer service experience is preferred.
