About this Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee revenue and inventory accounting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for helping drive day-to-day accounting operations and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), and inventory valuation.

About this Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee revenue and inventory accounting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for helping drive day-to-day accounting operations and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), and inventory valuation.
What You’ll Do
- Perform monthly net revenue recognition and deferral reconciliations in compliance with ASC 606
- Work closely with sales and operations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of revenue recognition
- Prepare and calculate monthly commission statements in accordance with client sales contracts
- Maintain proper sales tax compliance within the food and beverage industry by managing external return preparation and leading internal return preparation.
- Manage accounts receivable process and assist in following up with any delinquent accounts
- Manage month-end activities for inventory and related variance analysis
- Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to maintain complete and accurate inventory records
- Ensure all inventory-related adjustments are documented properly and in compliance with ASC guidelines.
- Manage a Staff Accountant
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 606 and inventory accounting standards
- Experience working with multi-State sales tax compliance preferred
- Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS, Index Matches, etc)
- Experience working with Sage Intacct, a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
