Fertilizer Facility Operator
Job Description:
To blend, load and unload liquid, dry and anhydrous ammonia fertilizer according to recommendations, deliver agronomy products, assist in grain department and work with customers in a safe manner that maximizes departmental effectiveness.
Job Duties:
- Blend / load liquid, dry and anhydrous ammonia fertilizer according to recommendations
- Perform routine maintenance, housekeeping and record keeping of facilities and equipment
- Assure safety compliance by maintaining a safe work environment and wear proper PPE when required
- Maintain agronomy equipment
- Achieve accurate and efficient loading / unloading and delivery of products
- Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed in the field or in the shop
- Assist in grain department

- Work overtime as required
- Perform any other task requested by your supervisor
Education / Experience
Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of fertilizer equipment. Farm back ground preferred as well as a working knowledge and general understanding of machine operations and maintenance. Strong preference given to someone interested in learning to operate custom application equipment.
Language Skills:
Applicant must be able to read and comprehend instructions and directions, effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Calculating figures and amounts such as acres, gallons, tons, ounces.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding when given instructions and ability to think on your feet when confronted with an issue that must be corrected immediately.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
