Ozark Ready Mix – Kansas City, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Professional Cement Tanker Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and professionally drive, operate, and maintain a cement tanker. The driver will deliver cement to plant sites in Livingston, Grundy, and Harrison Counties, as well as the greater Kansas City Metropolitan area.

The truck will be parked at our Kansas City, Missouri facility and loaded at various cement terminals around Kansas City before heading north to the specified counties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate and drive a cement tanker truck.
• Deliver cement to designated plant sites in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the tanker to ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Keeping truck clean.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful but not required.
• Proven experience as a professional truck driver, preferably with cement or bulk material transport.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Must be able to work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following Company safety guidelines and following Company policies.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Must be able to do moderately strenuous work, ability to lift over 50 pounds and endure long periods of standing/walking as well as continuous strenuous activities such as frequent reaching, bending, or lifting.
• This position is an outdoor position exposed to all weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass a federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical.

COMPENSATION

• This is a commission-based position, with earnings tied to delivery volume and performance. Drivers have the opportunity to maximize income based on their efficiency and workload.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• 2 years’ experience driving cement tankers or similar bulk material transport vehicles.
• Committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License drivers with clean 5-year driving record, free of major violations or accidents, showcasing a commitment to safe and responsible driving.
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exhibits a collaborative and positive attitude, working effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and vendors to foster a productive and supportive work environment.
