Position Summary
This role is responsible for supporting the organization’s cash management function, including the accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and reporting of all cash transactions across multiple companies. The position ensures effective collection of revenues, proper application of payments, and compliance with company policies and accounting controls.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Application & Processing
- Manage the processing of customer payments including cash, check, ACH, and credit card transactions.
- Track revenues using lockbox and local bank deposits.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all cash application activities.
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Monitor cash transactions and reconcile to bank activity.
- Investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
Account Resolution & Adjustments
- Research and resolve account discrepancies.
- Process necessary account adjustments to maintain accurate balances.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Qualifications, Skills, & Expertise
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in high-volume accounts receivable or cash application environment.
- Familiarity with bank cash management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
