Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive trucks around yard to switch empty and full containers to and from shipping and trailer parking area.
- Drive any trailer that needs work done to third party for repair.
- Implement extreme weather counter measures on live poultry equipment.
- Performs daily housekeeping of trailer/tractor.
- Run forklift when necessary
- Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices, and ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition and meets or exceeds DOT and OSHA Standards.
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain all logs and records as required by law and company policy
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.
- Perform a variety of physical labor including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time; walking, lift and carry boxes, tools, equipment and materials.
- Ability to be able to reach above shoulder level.
- Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)
- Ability to perform general labor duties outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Current Class A Virginia Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Motor vehicle record (MVR) 5
- Related experience preferred
- Able to pass SVO driver pre-employment/post offer requirement
