Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge, this position is essential for ensuring patient safety, maintaining precise records, and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy.Key ResponsibilitiesEntering Patient and Prescription Information: Accurately inputting new and refill prescription details, including drug names, dosages, and patient demographics. This requires strong attention to detail to avoid errors that could lead to medication mix-ups or incorrect dosing.Processing Insurance Claims: Submitting prescription claims to insurance companies and resolving any rejections or billing issues. This involves understanding various insurance plans and communicating effectively with both patients and insurers.Maintaining Patient Profiles: Updating and managing patient information, such as allergies, medical conditions, and contact details, to ensure comprehensive and up-to date records. This is critical for preventing adverse drug interactions.Collaborating with Pharmacists: Working closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to address data discrepancies, verify prescription details, and assist with inventory management.
