What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef/Line Cook position at Farm to Table Cafe?
We are a high-quality, scratch kitchen focused on fresh, seasonal, and responsibly sourced ingredients. Our café and catering business is known for elevated comfort food, clean ingredients, and a strong commitment to hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to our quality and presentation standards
- Execute daily prep (chopping, portioning, sauces, dressings, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Follow recipes and kitchen systems with consistency and efficiency
- Assist with inventory, labeling, and proper food storage
- Support catering prep and off-site event execution as needed
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience preferred (all levels welcome to apply)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Basic knife skills and food safety knowledge
- Availability for weekends and/or early mornings is a plus
