Receiver

JOB SUMMARY: The receiver is responsible for the accuracy of all inventories coming into and transferring in and out of store while aligning with our mission statement, value proposition ad core values.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Store Manager

DUTIES ASSIGNED:

1. Receiving Inventory:
2. Physically count all products delivered to store by vendors and transfers if applicable. Direct and supervise unloading of trucks.
3. Match packing slips to purchase orders and contact purchasing team and accounts payable when there are discrepancies. Contact vendor to resolve discrepancies and complete discrepancy form.
4. Receive in the computer and forward paperwork to Accounts Payable.
5. Print labels and add UPC for new products.
6. Keep detailed records and fill out required forms.
7. Maintain Merchandise:
8. Tag inventory with an invoice copy or S/O document, notify customer of arrival and leave in customer hold area.
9. Return defective merchandise to vendors in a timely manner.
10. General Responsibilities:
11. Maintain a pleasant work environment, including positive communication among employees and stores, helping foster a team spirit among all employees.
12. Comply with company safety rules and regulations.
13. Contribute to team effort through active participation in employee meetings.
14. Avoid outside activities that conflict with company values or in competition with the company.
15. Other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS: 

Work closely with other warehouse personnel, purchasing team and accounts payable. Cooperate with all levels of company employees to meet customer needs. Maintain vendor relationships.

SKILLS: 

Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

EQUIPMENT: 

Drive pickup trucks, handle razor knife or box cutter, operate forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and miscellaneous hand tools. Be able to operate computer and handheld RF gun.
