What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tractor And Mower Mechanic position at Farm Power-Lawn And Leisure?
Purpose:
Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned turf and ag equipment. May require some direction or guidance from senior technicians.
Responsibilities:
Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on turf equipment. Both 4 cycle and 2 cycle engines along with diesel engines. May also setup new equipment. Any hydraulic repair experience is welcome. Will be working on tractors, mower, utv's and hay equipment.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
Look up parts for units working on.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
4 years of experience performing professional service repairs.
Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
Proficient knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in the repair of and turf equipment such as mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
Must be able to operate a forklift. Basic computer skills.
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
You will need to supply your on tools.
Valid drivers license is required.
Will be required to work some Saturdays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
