Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is filled by an entry-level Duck Creek Configurator/Analyst. The incumbent learns the concepts and skills acquired through formal training or equivalent experience. The person in this position learns and follows internal policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates an ability to communicate with business representatives.
• Understands simple business requirements and can relate these to supporting system requirements, producing simple technical configuration specifications for the work to be done.
• Configures and maintains readable, reliable, and maintainable Duck Creek components, business rules, forms, and workflows necessary to support the team's assigned systems.
• Performs unit and system testing using test plans and scripts approved by the business.
• Reviews test results with the business and makes the necessary adjustments to the configuration deliverable.
• Obtains approval and submits proper documentation for migration to test and production environments.
• Identifies and rectifies configuration issues quickly, showing initiative and a proactive approach.
• Records time and status to the appropriate projects or support activities for billing and tracking purposes.
• Responds promptly to production issues by participating in on-call rotation for 24-hour support of the team's systems.
• Assists with maintaining documentation related to Duck Creek configuration changes, testing results, and deployment activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• One to two years of experience.
• Supervisory/management experience not applicable.
  
  

Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent professional experience two to five years.

• The incumbent will either meet the requirements of the next higher position within at most two years or will exit the Duck Creek configuration career path.
• Successfully complete insurance industry training courses to build a foundation of knowledge in Property & Casualty insurance operations, products, and business processes.
• Full understanding of software and system fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of business rules configuration, testing practices, and system implementation concepts.
• Exposure to or willingness to learn Duck Creek technologies, including Policy, Rating, Forms, Product Studio, or related Duck Creek applications.
  
  

Occupational Requirements

• The position is physically comfortable and has discretion about walking, standing, sitting, etc.
• A person in this position performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.
• The position can be performed remotely.
• No adverse working or environmental conditions are expected.
• Works under the guidance of experienced Duck Creek configurators, developers, analysts, and technical leads while developing technical and business knowledge.
  
  

The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

• Omaha, NE; Albany, NY and League City, TX Pay Range: $69,462.00 - $90,066.00
