What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tech Lead position at Farm Credit Financial Partners, Inc.?

Brief Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Farm Credit Financial Partners seeks a Delivery Tech Lead to serve as the dedicated technical authority

and accountability point for a specific experience domain within our Build organization. Unlike traditional

technical leadership roles that span multiple areas, this position focuses exclusively on one of our four

critical experiences: Customer, Lending, Accounting, and Financial. Reporting to the Director of Technical Delivery, you will own all technical aspects of delivery within your assigned experience domain, providing technical oversight and mentorship to the development teams while maintaining hands-on technical involvement.

As the dedicated technical leader for your experience domain, you will provide technical guidance and

direction to the capability teams within your domain, mentoring developers, testers, and business

analysts to ensure technical excellence. You will work through influence and expertise rather than direct

authority, building strong collaborative relationships with team members while maintaining accountability

for technical outcomes. This focused approach ensures you can provide specialized technical leadership

tailored to your experience's specific needs, becoming the go-to expert for all technical matters within

your domain. This is a permanent domain assignment, not a rotational position, allowing you to build lasting expertise and relationships.

This role requires extensive knowledge of Fiserv DNA core banking platforms and Farm Credit industry

systems, with particular emphasis on the modules and integrations relevant to your assigned experience

domain. You will be accountable for all technical decisions, delivery commitments, and engineering

quality within your experience while working closely with your Product Service Owner and Program

Manager as part of the experience leadership triad. This is one of four Delivery Tech Leader positions, each dedicated to a specific experience domain.

Your accountability and authority are bounded by your assigned domain, ensuring deep specialization

And Focused Technical Leadership. Each Domain Typically Encompasses

  • 3-4 capability teams that you provide technical oversight and direction for
  • 20-40 technical professionals (developers, testers, analysts) that you mentor and guide
  • Multiple scrum teams working on related business capabilities
  • Specific core systems and integrations unique to your domain

You provide technical leadership through influence and expertise, not through direct reporting relationships.

You are fully accountable for all technical delivery outcomes within your specific experience domain. Your scope is clearly bounded by your assigned experience (Customer, Lending, Accounting, or Financial) and the 3-4 capability teams you provide technical oversight for. When technical decisions impact delivery timelines, quality standards, or system reliability within your experience domain, you own the outcome. While you achieve results through technical guidance and mentorship rather than direct management, you remain accountable for the technical excellence of all work produced within your domain. You do not have accountability for technical decisions in other domains - that responsibility lies with your peer Delivery Tech Leads. This is not an advisory or influence role — you have final technical authority within your domain boundaries and bear complete responsibility for meeting delivery commitments while maintaining engineering excellence.
