This position requires problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring high-quality integration solutions.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with architects and other developers to implement software for strategic projects.
- Provide accurate level-of-effort estimates based on business requirements.
- Document development work with appropriate collateral as needed.
- Participate in technical design and code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
- Serve as a technical lead on smaller projects and contribute collaboratively to larger projects.
- Develop, test, and deploy APIs and integrations using MuleSoft and related technologies.
- Work within a mixed Windows and PaaS environment.
- Stay informed about other integration technologies and contribute to discussions about future integration strategies.
- Collaborate effectively across functional and departmental teams.
- Occasional off-hours work, including nights and weekends, may be required for mission-critical needs.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Coach and mentor junior developers.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and delivery timeframes.
- Advocate for innovation and continuous improvement in development processes and team culture.
- Explore and evaluate emerging integration technologies to support future needs.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience designing, modifying, writing, and implementing software programming applications; financial services industry experience is helpful.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Anypoint Studio and MuleSoft Integration Platform.
- Proficiency in REST/SOAP web services, Java, and C#.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Salesforce knowledge preferred.
- MuleSoft Certified Developer preferred.
- Experience with unit testing or testing standards (preferred).
- Familiarity with other integration technologies or willingness to learn new integration platforms.
- Knowledge of software development best practices.
- Ability to report to work in person and to attend work-related functions/activities.
- Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to occasionally travel as required.
- Ability to type and utilize various software programs efficiently and operate general office equipment.
- Ability to work in an office setting with moderate noise levels.
- Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
- This role has been designated as Hybrid, which gives employees the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and working in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday or as Remote role, which means the employee will work entirely offsite.
- Exceptions to the designated work arrangement may be made based on business needs.
