What are the responsibilities and job description for the BICYCLE ASSEMBLER /MECHANIC for high quality bikes at premier bike retailer position at Farina's Bicycle Center?
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can be a key player in our busy service department. A solid understanding of bicycles and basic knowledge of bike systems (how gears and brakes work) ARE REQUIRED for this position. Applicants with prior experience working on bicycles in a bike shop are preferred.

We provide PAID TRAINING for qualified individuals that have excellent mechanical skills AND some prior experience repairing bicycles. Working on Saturdays during spring & summer is required.

Duties
In this job you will assist our Service Manager &/or Senior Bike Mechanic, simultaneously and independently, to
- Assemble and prepare various types of new bikes, including hybrid, mountain, kids and electric models.
- Install accessories on bikes including racks, fenders, phone cases etc.
- Perform basic bike repairs such flat tire repairs and tube installations
- Assist in cleaning customers' bikes that are scheduled for a tune-up
- Provide some customer service while following Farina's protocols
- Assist customers who are picking up new bikes and rental bikes
- Assist in receiving and unloading deliveries of bikes and other equipment
- Must be able to lift bicycles/equipment/boxes that weights 25-70lbs.
