What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Appraiser position at Faribault County?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Appraises (physically inspects, measures, determine grade, condition and photographs) assigned real property jurisdictions, including agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, seasonal-recreational and personal property to determine full market and assessed valuation. Reviews building permits, meets with general public and property owners to inform or address issues relating to specific valuations and attends meetings/hearings. Use of computerized systems for related data entry and basic office functions.
Qualifications include: Minimum qualifications should include H.S. diploma or G.E.D., training and experience in real estate appraisal and assessment helpful but not required. Must be able to obtain a Certified Minnesota Assessor License (CMA) designation within three years of date of hire and the ability to obtain an Accredited Minnesota Assessor License (AMA) five years following the receipt of CMA license.
This is a full-time, union position at 37.5 hours per week. Wage range $26.20 – $35.71 per hour.
